Pre Natal Yoga strengthens mind, body and spirit in preparation for labor and delivery. These classes will build strength, focus and flexibility through a gentle practice designed especially for the pregnant women's needs. Expect a combination of active, flowing poses as well as restorative poses to relax and re-energize. Simple breathing and meditation techniques will be introduced to support the practice and bring the attention inward. Prenatal Yoga classes allow you to connect with other moms- to-be.
This class mixes the elements of Pilates, dance, yoga and functional training to fun, motivating music. Barre classes begin w a warm-up, followed by a series of upper body exercises using resistance bands and your own body weight. The ballet barre is used to sculpt the lower body, abs and for flexibility training. The class ends w some core work on the mat. Barre promises that you can develop lean muscles without bulk, enhance flexibility, and improve balance. No matter what fitness level you are you have the ability to try Barre and get results.
This class offers both basic and slightly more complex poses and flows. Great class for beginners looking for a little more, but using modifications, and for the intermediate yogi, looking for an added challenge.
Restorative Yoga is a very relaxed yoga class which utilizes props to support, open and create ease in the body. Each restorative sequence is designed to move the spine in all directions by practicing backbends, forward bends, twists and inversions using props; which are held for longer periods of time allowing for deep relaxation. Designed for all levels and includes breath work; and guided meditations.
A challenging yoga class, meant for an intermediate Yogi. It involves more complex vinyasa flows, and a build up into more advanced poses.
Yin Yoga is a meditative slow practice. It involves stretching the connective tissue surrounding your joints and muscles, as well as stimulating the meridians in the body relating to your inner organs. Postures are muscularly passive and held for 3-5 minutes, letting gravity do the stretching, no effort is involved. Props are used to make sure the poses are tailored to each person's individual needs with the appropriate amount of pressure.
A one hour mat-based class that sculpts the whole body using resistance bands, balls and weight bearing exercises.
